FAIRINO FR5 Collaborative Robot

The FAIRINO FR5 combines high precision with flexible integration: a 5 kg payload, a 922 mm reach and a repeatability of ±0.02 mm make this 6-axis cobot a versatile solution for pick-and-place, assembly, machine tending, quality inspection, gluing and dispensing. Programmes can be easily created via the web interface or the teach pendant and adapted to new processes. You can choose between the standard IP54 model, available in white or black, and the robust IP65 version in white for environments with increased exposure to dust or moisture.

For applications requiring a combined payload of more than 5 kg, including tooling and workpiece, a larger working envelope, or high process forces, a more powerful robot model should be selected. The distance of the center of gravity from the flange is also a critical factor in the selection process.

Setting Up and Commissioning the FAIRINO FR5

The FAIRINO FR5 can be configured via a browser-based web interface or a 10.1-inch teach pendant. Motions can be taught directly on the robot and combined into automated workflows using the graphical user interface. For customized applications, SDKs are available for C#, C++, Python, ROS, and ROS 2. TCP/IP, Modbus TCP, and Modbus RTU, as well as digital and analog inputs and outputs, support the integration of external devices. PROFINET, EtherNet/IP, EtherCAT, and CC-Link are available as optional communication interfaces. For the IP65 version, the end effector, connectors, and cabling must also be adequately protected to ensure that the intended level of protection is maintained throughout the complete application. This keeps the platform flexible for future expansions.
